Let's Talk Lavender

As with linen, I have always had a fondness for lavender and all of its benefits, that's why I am thrilled to introduce my new lavender linen sachets to The Chateau Collection.

I knew there are many benefits to using lavender, but I didn't know some of these other facts. For example, there are 47 known species of the lavender flower, or Lavandula, and it is part of the mint family, lavender mint mojitos anyone?

The word lavender comes from the Latin root “lavare,” which literally means “to wash.” The earliest recorded use of lavender dates back to ancient Egypt. There, lavender oil played a role in the mummification process, as well as the use of linen.

During later times, lavender became a bath additive in several regions, including ancient Persia, Greece, and Rome. These cultures believed that lavender helped purify the body and mind.

If you think about it, lavender helps us feel calm, it soothes headaches, depression, relieves burns, acne, the list goes on and on.

My lavender sachets are made from 100% US sourced linen and organic lavender flower. They are adorned with a corner loop for easy hanging, and they will add the perfect subtle fragrance to your closets, drawers, suitcases, cars, or toss them into your dryer for a natural fragrance to your laundry.

They make lovely gifts for Mother's Day, bridal showers, birthdays, teacher's gifts or a spring hostess gift.  Add a bouquet of fresh flowers, along with the sachets and know the recipient of your gift will absolutely adore them.
Enjoy,
Gretchen
